Yogi Bhajan brought the powerful technology of Kundalini Yoga to the West in 1968.  He could clearly see that the needs of the modern times lay in the training of KY to help us maintain our grace, our radiance and our strength of character…against all chaos in the world.

When he was eight, Yogi Bhajan began yogic training with an enlightened teacher, Sant Hazara Singh, who proclaimed him a master of Kundalini Yoga when he was just sixteen and a half.

Yogi Bhajan left behind a lucrative governmental career in India with the vision of bringing Yoga to the West in 1968. He broke from the long-held tradition of passing the technology of Kundalini Yoga from master to chosen disciple and was the first to publicly teach Kundalini Yoga, which sparked a movement of Yoga and Meditation that has gained widespread acceptance and popularity in our culture.

With a deep and compassionate insight into the human condition, Yogi Bhajan produced a prolific body of teachings and writings, established permanent institutions, and earned a distinguished reputation as a man of peace, world vision and wisdom. Through his legacy he continues to bless those whom he loved, that is, the entire human race.
